Many new computer keyboards lack indicator lights to alert users when Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock keys are on or off. Windows 10 does have an audible alert, but, if the computer speakers are off, users won't know the status of those functions.
It is possible to have the screen flash in Windows 10 when the status of the functions change, but I find that only confuses the users.
Here's a simple utility, that doesn't have to be installed but works well and gives a visual indicator on the taskbar.
