December 9, 2022

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Bob Leiner, Don Forgette, Linda Tingley, Bill Balch, Mike Metelits and Alan Marcus.

The Secretary’s report was read by Bob Kenlay. No corrections or additions necessary.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1515.85.

Alan Marcus will contact the DOD for the Holiday party to open the Kitchen door.

Alan Marcus asked if any could assist with the Feb, Mar and Apr meeting topics. Will be determined at a future meeting.

November 11, 2022

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Bob Leiner, Don Forgette, Linda Tingley, Bill Balch and Alan Marcus.

The Secretary’s report was read by Bob Kenlay. No corrections or additions necessary.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1563.85.

Linda Tingley will purchase 8 dozen donuts & 2 lbs. coffee for the Holiday party.

Alan Marcus suggested that we buy $1 scratch off tickets for the Holiday party giveaway. Alan Marcus made the motion to purchase 100 scratch off tickets. The motion was seconded by Jim Trimboli. The motion was passed.

Jim Trimboli made a motion to buy 10 - $10 gift cards for the Holiday party. Linda Tingley seconded the motion. The motion was passed.

Alan Marcus said he received a message from Steve Maly that he is no longer a resident of Oak Run. Linda Tingley confirmed that he has resigned as Vice President. Alan Marcus will mention at the next club meeting for any nominations for the club Vice President position.

Linda Tingley ask how we should determine the distribution of the 50/50 funds. It was agreed that Linda should make that decision depending on the amount collected.

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Bob Leiner, Don Forgette, Bob Irish, Bill Balch and Alan Marcus.

The Secretary’s report was read by Bob Kenlay. No corrections or additions necessary.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1553.85.

Jim Trimboli suggested that the club consider a bingo party at our 2023 Holiday party as a way of increasing our club membership. Discussion will take place at a future meeting.

Don Forgette suggested we consider a presentation on car dash cams, Alan Marcus will investigate.

Other considerations are “Team Viewer” and “Fire Stick” or streaming and video conferencing subjects.

Alan Marcus asked the Board if there were any suggestions for future membership meetings. He has contacted several possible presenters with no success. It was suggested that the Executive Board Members should come up with current computer problem areas and possible solutions to be discussed at our regular club meetings.

Oct 19 – “Computer Issues and Solutions” by Board members

July 8, 2022

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Bob Roesener, Bob Leiner, Steve Maly, Rich Groh, Don Forgette and Alan Marcus.

The Secretary’s report was read by Bob Kenlay. Alan Marcus made a correction to the June Board meeting minutes that the start time was at 9:00AM instead of the reported 8:00AM.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1577.85.

Alan Marcus asked Rich Groh to introduce himself and give a brief history of himself. The rest of the present Board members introduced themselves.

Alan Marcus forwarded a question from Linda Tingley to suspend the club meetings during the summer. The consensus was it might hurt future attendance to the regular year. No motion was made.

July 20 – “Install solid state drive in a laptop” and "Install DVD in desktop" by Alan Marcus

June 10, 2022

The meeting was called to order by President, Alan Marcus at 9:00AM. Members in attendance were Bob Leiner, Linda Irish, Bob Irish, Jim Trimboli, Don Forgette and Alan Marcus.

Jim Trimboli gave the Treasurer’s report. The current balance is $1612.85. One person joined the club in June.

Alan Marcus said that he would present a YouTube video about installing Windows 11 on unsupported PCs. He said that a link to the video and detailed implementation steps would be posted on the blog.

Bob Irish said that he would run the scanner at the June meeting. Linda Irish will assist with the 50/50.

Don Forgette suggested that the club should have another presentation on streaming. He will research some new video programs that are competing with YouTube.

Alan Marcus said he would ask new member, Rich Groh, about giving a presentation about email usage.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35AM.

Alan Marcus reviewed the status of our topics for future meetings. He spoke to Forest High School. They might be interested in bringing some Robotics for a fall presentation. He will also contact some car dealers to discuss their new electric cars.

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Bill Balch, Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Bob Irish, Linda Irish, Bob Roesener, Bob Leiner, Don Forgette, Linda Tingley and Alan Marcus.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1626.39.

Alan Marcus explained the Q & A session to be presented at this coming meeting. We will divide the members into four person teams at each table to come up with an answer to Alan's question. If the team comes up with the right answer, each member will be awarded 25¢.

A motion was made by Bob Kenlay to approve this game and Bob Roesener seconded the motion. The motion carried.

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Bill Balch, Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Bob Irish, Linda Irish, Bob Roesener, Bob Leiner, Richard Cunningham, Don Forgette, Linda Tingley and Alan Marcus.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1631.50.

Alan Marcus suggested that the CTC club needs a scanner for the printing of badges. Bob Kenlay made a motion to purchase a scanner, the motion was seconded by Linda Tingley. The motion carried. Alan Marcus will make the purchase.

Richard Cunningham and Jim Trimboli started the discussion on streaming for the CTC club meetings.

Richard Cunningham discussed the summary of the club members responses to the questionnaire and a format for future presentations. After a lengthy discuss[on, it was agreed to start again with the basics of streaming. Alan Marcus will act as a moderator to walk us thru the basics of setting up streaming. We can start with “Streaming Basics” for the presentation at the club meeting before the demonstration session. Alan Marcus and Bob Kenlay will bring equipment to assist in device hookups.

Jim Trimboli notified the board that he has refiled our registration with the State of Florida. He passed around copies of the paperwork.

Alan Marcus mentioned that he has downloaded a program on “Streaming Basic” for presentation at the club meeting before the question session. After a lengthy discussion, It was suggested that we stay with the basic questions for future meeting topics.

January 14, 2022

Alan Marcus, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00AM. Members in attendance: Bill Balch, Jim Trimboli, Bob Kenlay, Linda Tingley, Bob Irish, Linda Irish, Bob Leiner, Don Forgette, and Alan Marcus.

The Secretary’s report was read by Bob Kenlay. No corrections or additions necessary.

Jim Trimboli then read the current Treasurer's report. The current balance is $1545.50.

Alan Marcus asked for a review of the Holiday party. It was suggested that the first batch of coffee should be a run of “water only” to heat up the machine. The attendance at the meeting was 68 attendees. The eight dozen donuts and two pounds of coffee was adequate.

Alan Marcus mentioned that the community fair will be held on Wednesday, February 2, from 9:00AM till 1:00PM. Bill Balch will set up the Computer Club table but asks anyone who can help out, please show up to give assistance.

Don Forgette suggested that we have a presentation on streaming or a Q & A session. The general consensus was that this would be a timely presentation because of the loss of some of our TV channels (CBS & Fox). We will try to put together a program for the February 16 Club meeting.
